This past weekend a collaboration event was held at Sudden Art Gallery/ Industry Showroom in Downtown San Diego. Hosted by Thumbprint Gallery and curated by Alli Bautista. The show featured many well known local female artists such as Alli Bautista herself, Monique Jenkins,Liane Engstrom, Sophinie Som, Amanda Pangle, Eileen Rubio, Al Velvet De Oro, Katherine Brannock, and a Stack House favorite Annie Lou!

Although, we were unable to attend all the buzz was out in the air that night! We are also definitely proud to see an all women hosted show in San Diego and hope to see more! All in all, we’re especially proud of our dear friend & fellow artist Annie Lou. She is well on her way and we can’t wait to see more exposure of her work! Keep supporting your local artist because without us there would be no color. With that said, here is Annie Lou’s entry!

Recently, Garvin Ha went on a trip to New York City for the first time in his life. In search of, what we call “inspiration” to feed our minds as artists. Upon, searching for that inspiration he came to realize that it was all about the discovery. It may sound confusing but it makes perfect sense if you really think about it. With that said, his experience left him with a clear state of mind of what he wanted to express. Some people write in journals  or draw in sketch books to express their feelings about such an experience. Check out how Garvin accomplished that in his own way.

“Originally a reflection of what I thought of NY as a first timer, instead it was all a discovery.” -Garvin Ha

Recently, artists Mackenzie Swecker and Jordan J. got together to do a two panel collaboration painting. This is the finished product.

Mackenzie painted the portrait of the aged man and Jordan J. painted his coveted arrangement of buildings and power lines.

The Stack House Collective is proud to introduce to you an old friend with a new out look. Based out of Northern San Diego, Senz Wen has been involved with artistic endeavors for quite some time. Senz’s style can leave a some what sub-conscious remnants of feeling a little grotesque but the skill is definitely there. With an artistic background dating as far back as one can remember. Senz creates these characters from unknown parallels  deep within one’s self. The Stack House Collective is more than happy and proud to reunite with such a talented artist that has stayed true and dedicated to the craft. To see more of Senz Wen’s work, follow the links below. Without further ado, we give you Senz Wen.
